Dr. Xanthos has served in psychiatric inpatient, primary care, psychological assessment, hospice, and community mental health settings. Prior to earning her doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of Denver, she received a Master of Divinity from Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology. Her doctoral project was focused on supporting clergy in serving the military and veteran populations. Presentations in Orthodox parishes have focused on turning to scripture as a guide for restoration from personal and collective trauma, as well as navigating experiences of anxiousness, depressiveness, and anger. She is involved with the Assembly of Bishops Mental Health Ministries as a Mental Health First Aid trainer and is an IOCC Frontliner.
