Trauma and Woundedness:

Healing, Reconciliation, and Wholeness in the Orthodox Christian Tradition

September 17-19, 2026

University of St. Mary of the Lake

1000 E Maple Ave, Mundelein, IL 60060

Registration will Open in June!

Join us this fall for a conference with interdisciplinary discussions to explore the theme “Trauma and Woundedness: Healing, Reconciliation, and Wholeness in the Orthodox Christian Tradition.”
The 2026 OCAMPR Conference will examine physical, psychological, and spiritual trauma as a universal human reality that can lead to estrangement from God, ourselves, and one another. The conference will explore how the sacramental life of the Church offers a path toward reconciliation, wholeness, and the sanctification of body, soul, and spirit. Participants will also be invited to reflect on how wounded professionals can both seek healing and participate in Christ’s redemptive work for individuals and communities.

The location, the mature and loving Orthodox professionals, and the wealth of knowledge, are all unsurpassed. The support and enduring friendships are probably the best part of the conference. This is the best conference I go to all year!
